- If one player manages to win all the point cards (all 13 Hearts and the Queen of Spades), this is called "Shooting the Moon."
- Instead of adding 26 points to their own score, the other three players each get 26 points added to their scores, and the shooter gets zero for that round. This is a high-risk, high-reward reversal strategy.

Scoring

After each round, the points from all the tricks a player has won are tallied (1 point per Heart, 13 for the Queen of Spades).
These points are added to the player's cumulative score.
The game usually ends when any player's score reaches or exceeds 100 points. The player with the lowest total score at that point wins the game.
